Intermix - Preview of Spring/Summer 2011

 

This week Entre Nouz stopped by an Intermix store and we were able to get an inside into some very nice pieces from the Pre-Spring/Summer Collection.

Christine Vincent, from Intermix in Boca Raton's Town Center Mall, presented us a preview of the Spring/Summer 2011 collection at the store. There were J Brand Jeans, designed exclusively for Intermix and adorable bohemian crochet tops from Leyendecker. The collections featured a strong bohemian influence and at times a hint of tribal print.

This store is one of my favorite stores!... When I first moved to Boca Raton, I missed this type of stores in Brazil - the kind of store where you come in and see different designer brands that can be mixed and matched to create the perfect outfit without being in a large department store.  I thought for sure I wouldn’t find a store like this and even less likely that I’d find the staff of the stores to be stylish and have exquisite taste. But it happened!

Intermix has an amazing variety of brands, clothing options, bags and even shoes – I’ve been in love ever since!

The store prides itself in providing an exclusive mix of the best designers, styles, and trends for A-listers, glam fashionistas and trendsetters. I found it not only true, but made even better by staff that builds personal relationships with each customer and makes it their top priority to find not only the perfect outfit, but make the shopping experience enjoyable.

Tip: Try going to the Town Center Mall in Boca Raton, during a time when you can find Christine, she is fantastic at proposing great ideas based on her really good taste and she is beautiful!

We loved all of the Missoni pieces for spring! The color palettes are so energizing and full of optimism, almost as if the clothes could shout out "You can't go wrong with us this season!" And trust us, we believe every word of it! ;)

It also appears that Flared Jeans are making a comeback, and Intermix has many options to choose from, for example, pairs by Citizens of Humanity and J Brand, both can be worn with the Fendi high heels we showed before, and a crochet top for a relaxed but glamorous look that can easily be worn during daytime or at night!

Right in the middle of the Design District in Miami is where a new United Nude Store has been inaugurated.  The first time you enter though, you might think you're in an art gallery, due to the fact that the space has a loft-like atmosphere and design.   The store front is covered in windows, which is great as it allows tons of light to access  the interior and illuminate the colorful and eye catching footwear that this brand has come to be known for.

The space includes rows of tables lined up against the walls that showcase the many shoe collections, accompanied by photographs hanged above them that direct you towards the back of the store where there is a full gallery of photos, which are part of an exhibition called 5PRCITY by China's leading photographers.

United Nude specializes in shoe designs that are very architectural with obvious industrial design inspiration.  They describe their work as the "intersection between design and fashion".  Founded by Rem D Koolhaas, a Dutch architect trained at the Technical University of Delft in Holland and Galahad Clark who is a seventh generation shoemaker from Somerset, England.

Of course it shouldn't come as a surprise that we stopped by to take a look and find out more!

We have to admit, that at first when we walked by, the shoes really caught our attention because of the sophisticated designs, but it was hard to see options to wear them with.  However, minutes later we were surprised after having a closer look, that we were surrounded by a lot of different choices that were perfect for many varied occasions!

What we liked the most were the "Helix Lo" shoes (pictured below) which come in colors that can be worn with something simple like a nice pair of jeans and a white t-shirt, and look very nice!

Another favorite was the "Lo Rex" shoe collection, based on a new semi-automatic design method by United Nude, where an object is digitally scanned into a 3D computer model and regenerated into various resolutions.  These pumps come in Black, Grey, Navy and Ruby Red colors.
